Laminating fabrics for Roller Blinds
Most Fabrics can be laminated to make a Roller Blind.
We are happy to test laminate any small piece of fabric and send it back to you
During lamination, the fabric is put through a special machine where it is bonded to a backing at a heat of 120C. The blinds can be overlocked on its raw edge or sealed with hot invisable glue standard. Any blinds requiring joins will have a main
centre panel with side panels butted together and seamed creating a smooth finish.
Backings:
Roller blind backings are available in standard white and cream or with a Blackout backings.
Roll
Normal roll or reverse roll Roller Blinds, may be rolled normally or reverse rolled. The advantage of reverse roll is that the laminate backing is not seen at the top; however the blind will not fit as closely to the window and therefore more light may be let in.
Mechanism:
Roller blinds may be operated by either a side winder chain or a spring centre pull.
Chain operated systems are preferable for ease of operation and reliability and are recommended for large and heavy blinds..
