- Definitions
1.1 'Seller' means Crosby Blinds & BlindsHouse
1.2 'Buyer' means the person or company who buys the goods
1.3 'Conditions' means the Terms and Conditions of Sale set out in this document and any special Terms and Conditions agreed in writing by the Seller.
1.4 'Goods' means the article/ Blinds which the Buyer agrees to buy from the Seller
- Applicability of Conditions
2.1 Sellers website, collection book, sales promotion brochures and technical leaflets are an invitation to buy only.
2.2 Any contract shall consist of the Buyer's order and payment and the Seller's acceptance thereof.
2.3 Any order accepted by the Seller shall be subject to these conditions of sale and no other conditions shall apply unless expressly agreed in writing by the Seller.
2.4 Acceptance of delivery of our goods shall be deemed conclusive of the Buyer's acceptance of those conditions.
- Cancellation or Amendment of Order by the Buyer
3.1 You may only cancel your order only if fabric has not been ordered or production has not started normally within 24 hours of order date, and you will receive a refund. On cancelled orders over £100 a charge equal to 3% of the total order charge will be made to cover credit/debit card charges and administration. A cancellation authorisation number will be issued by the seller and must be provided by the Buyer in the event of 'cancelled' goods being delivered. Goods which have been supplied for which there is no cancellation reference number shall be considered as goods supplied under the original Conditions.
3.2 Every blind is custom made to your precise requirements, once made, our products are suitable only to you, and therefore cannot be resold. Because of this it is extremely important that you are sure about the product that you want and also the size you require. We strongly recommend that you double check all measurements. Amendments can only be made within 24 hours of order date.
- Carriage
4.1 With the exception of awnings, canopies, roller shutters and commodities, all prices quoted include carriage on a standard carrier to mainland UK only. Contact us for a price out side this area.
- Price Maintenance
5.1 The Seller reserves the right to charge interest on all overdue invoices at 3% above the Bank of England base rate. Such interest being deemed to accrue on a day-to-day basis from the date payment becomes due.
5.2 We do not offer VAT free sales to the channel islands etc
- Terms of Payment
6.0 Full payment is made at time of order.
6.1 Payment unless otherwise stated by the Seller shall be payable by the Buyer in advance for supply only goods.
6.2 The Seller reserves the right to charge interest on all overdue invoices at 3% above the Bank of England base rate. Such interest being deemed to accrue on a day-to-day basis from the date payment becomes due.
- Retention of Title
7.1 Whilst risk in Goods supplied to you by us shall pass on delivery, legal and beneficial ownership of the Goods shall remain with us until such time as we have received cleared payment in full of all sums due to us.
- Risk
8.1 The Goods shall be delivered at the Buyer's risk
8.2 If for any reason the Buyer fails to take delivery on the due date, delivery will be deemed to have taken place on the due date.
- Fitness for Purpose
9.1 All implied terms and conditions and warranties relating to the quality and/or fitness for the purpose of the goods or any of the goods are excluded.
9.2 While great care is taken in making your blinds to the size requested all Blinds are produced with a operating/manufactures tolerance of +/-5mm
This is industry standard.
9.3 The Seller shall be under no liability whatsoever to the Buyer for any indirect or consequential loss, damage and/or expense (including loss of profit) suffered by the Buyer arising out of a breach by the Seller of this contract, however so arising.
- Delivery
10.1 Your goods will be delivered direct to you by a carrier service. All deliveries are fully insured and a signature will be required on delivery. All goods must be signed as 'unchecked' with the carrier. No claims for goods delivered damaged can be made unless they are correctly signed for as 'unchecked' If we try to deliver you new blinds while you are out a card will be left giving details of your local collection point. You can contact this collection point to arrange a new convenient delivery time or call and collect the blinds yourself. Risk in the product passes when they are delivered. Delivery to your premises or other named agent or independent carrier will constitute delivery for the purposes of these Conditions.
10.2 Any dates, times or periods for delivery of Goods quoted by us are estimates only and we shall not be liable for failure to meet such estimates or for any costs charges or expenses incurred as a result of any delay. The Buyer will not be entitled to refuse to accept the Goods or to cancel the contract with the Seller merely due to such failure.
10.3 The Seller reserves the right to deliver the Goods by instalments and in such event such instalments shall be treated as a separate contract provided that deliveries of further instalments may be withheld until the Goods comprised in earlier instalments have been paid for in full.
10.4 All goods must be signed as 'unchecked' with the carrier.
- Return of Goods
11.1 Every blind is custom made to your precise requirements, once made, our products are suitable only to you, and therefore cannot be resold. We strongly recommend that you double check all measurements.
11.2 The return of Goods will not be accepted without prior notification to the Seller. The Seller will then authorise the return by issuing a returns reference number. The goods once returned will be inspected to verify the return reason, and once confirmed, a replacement will be sent.
11.3 Goods to be returned must be suitably packaged to prevent loss or damage in transit, so we strongly suggest that you keep all packaging until you are happy with your blind.
- Claims
12.1 Should the Buyer not receive the correct quantity or damaged goods, the delivery document and carrier consignment note must be endorsed accordingly. The Seller must be notified within 7 days from receipt of the goods of any shortage or damage and a claim authorization number obtained by the Buyer.
12.2 Failure to observe the claims procedure can invalidate the Seller's contractual liability under these Conditions of Sale.
- Product Documentation
13.1 Whilst the Seller takes every precaution in the preparation of its website, collection books, technical information, price lists and other selling aids, these documents are for the Buyer' general guidance only and the particulars contained there in shall not constitute representations by the Seller and the Seller shall not be bound thereby. The seller reserves the right to change specifications at any time.
- Proper Law and Jurisdiction
14.1 All disputes arising out of or in connection with this contract shall be governed by English Law
- Damaged / Faulty Goods
15.1 All damaged goods must be returned to us (at our cost) for fault/damage verification before we can action either a repair or a replacement.
All repairs will be given priority and will be sent out as new.
The Seller, only, can decide if a blind should be repaired or replaced.
15.2 Goods delivered damaged or faulty must be report to us within 5 days of delivery.
15.3 In the event of the seller sending a replacement for damaged or defective goods, the original goods must be returned within 7 days.
The seller reserves the right to charge the price of the replacement to the payment card used for the original order if the goods are not returned within 7 days.
15.4 If the Blinds are found not to be damaged or faulty and are as ordered, a redelivery & collection charge of £10 will be charged before the goods are returned.

Images shown are a guide and preciseness of colour cannot be guaranteed as this depends on the screen settings of your computer.
Wood samples and stock change from batch to batch. Wood is a natural product and varies in its grain and colour; this is not a fault but a characteristic and beauty of wood. At no time is this grounds for return.
Free of charge samples are available (maximum of 5).
- Price Beater
Price beater guarantee is for NEW orders only and does not cover:
17.1 Orders already placed
17.2 Competitors offering a promotional discount, or displaying a price error.
17.3 Blinds being sold below the manufactures trade (not retail) price.
17.4 Blinds delivered or manufactured outside the UK mainland
17.5 Orders cannot be cancelled or part refunded if a lesser price is found afterwards.
17.6 Price beater will only be offered against the same supplier 1 time.
- Cancellation By Us
18.1 We reserve the right to cancel Your order if:
18.2 We have insufficient stock to deliver the Goods You have ordered
18.3 You require delivery outside the Mainland UK
18.4 one or more of the Goods You ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information made by us and/or received by us from our suppliers.
18.5 If We do cancel your order We will notify You by e-mail and will re-credit to Your account any sum deducted by Us from Your debit or credit card as soon as possible. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
18.6 Your blind exceeds the maximum width and drop combination, or a option is not available on the selected fabric/slat this sometimes only becomes apparent at time of production not order.
